Tragedy to Triumph – Frank Retief

The massacre on the St James Church in Cape Town, South Africa on 25 July 1993 sent shock waves around the world. The nature of the attack on a group of people at worship was universally condemned and the international ramifications of foreigners being murdered by terrorists aroused worldwide interest.
But the aftermath of this tragedy is in essence no different from the aftermath of any other tragedy. Tragedy and suffering is a time for God to speak. He speaks through us and He speaks to us. It is a time for personal heart-searching. It is a time to ask the hard questions; to take stock of where our lives are going.

In Tragedy to Triumph Frank Retief works through the horror of the attack on his church to share with us the lessons God has taught this congregation about a Christian response to trials and suffering.
